TheMole Tank, also known asMole-Yoshi,[1] is one of the severalmorph bubble transformations aYoshi can undergo inSuper Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island andYoshi's Island DS. The Mole Tank can dig throughsoft rocks and can be rotated into four directions (up, down, left and right) with the D-pad. One of its main advantages is its ability to drive along walls and the ceiling without falling down. It is also smaller than a regular Yoshi, enabling the tank to fit through small openings. The Mole Tank is yellow in its artwork, even though theYellow Yoshi never gets the opportunity to morph into a Mole Tank.

Yoshi morphs to a Mole Tank after eating a morph bubble in volume 14 of theSuper Mario-kun. This allows Yoshi, Mario, Baby Mario, and Luigi to dig underground. While underground, Yoshi nearly eats aMonty Mole before quickly going further underground, but upon doing so,Kamek gives the Mole Tank a beating with his hammer. Unlike in the game, the Mole Tank power-up stays for a set period of time and does not transport Yoshi back to where Yoshi got the morph bubble.
