Misstar is one of the sevenStar Spirits inPaper Mario. This young Star Spirit is pure-hearted but strong. She is pink-colored and one of two femaleStar Spirits and wears a yellowhagoromo (red in the file select). Misstar is rescued byMario and his team onLavalava Island inChapter 5: Hot, Hot Times on Lavalava Island. She is guarded by the aggressiveLava Piranha and hisLava Buds. After Mario rescues her, Misstar helps Mario,Kolorado and Mario's team escape the volcano that is about to erupt. She gives Mario the ability to use theSmooch move. When Smooch is used, Misstar comes into battle and kisses Mario, restoring hisHP by 20. The move requires threeStar Power to use. She later appears along with the rest of the Star Spirits inStar Haven when they give Mario theStar Beam. Misstar andEldstar are the only two Star Spirits who can be tattled on.
Misstar hosts the story mode inMario Party 5, and she cameos inMario Party: The Top 100.
A Star Spirit that looks like Misstar appears inMario & Luigi: Partners in Time. InStar Hill, a Star Spirit with a mouth and a hagoromo appears and tells the Mario Brothers and Baby Brothers to gather all theCobalt Shards. However, it is revealed that she was not a Star Spirit and was actuallyElder Princess Shroob in disguise.
Misstar appears as asticker inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl. It increases the power of energy attacks by 7, and it can be used by any character.

Goombario can useTattle on Misstar only after she examines a cracked wall inMt. Lavalava (from where she feels a slight wind) but before Mario blasts the wall usingBombette. She andEldstar are the only Star Spirits who can be tattled on.
