Minkeys are small white ape^[1] enemies inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! andDonkey Kong Land III. In the latter game, their name is spelledMinkys. In both games, Minkeys hold on to a perch from a tree, repeatedly throwing acorns atDixie Kong andKiddy Kong. Minkeys cannot be defeated, but Dixie or Kiddy can move behind aBarrel Shield to protect themselves from being hit. InDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Minkeys only appear in one level,Barrel Shield Bust-Up, where they are the main enemy and obstacle. In theGame Boy Advance version, Minkeys also appear inSunken Spruce. Additionally,Dixie Kong's Photo Album features a photograph of a Minkey categorized underTerrorfirma Tuff Guys. InDonkey Kong Land III, they appear in three levels:Minky Mischief,Redwood Rampage, andSimian Shimmy, slightly more than inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.
