Mini Pandas are enemies that appear inDonkey Kong Jungle Beat, appearing in two stages late into the game:Grim Volcano andAsteroid Belt. They have ballerina-like movements, such as when they first appear on the screen, and pirouette when they are moving toward Donkey Kong. They can also jump across the screen. If Donkey Kong is nearby, they attack by slashing their claws at him. The Mini Panda's primary form of attack is their own version of theSound Wave Attack, which can be deflected withDonkey Kong's; doing this stuns them and sends them into the air. If the player can reach them before the stun wears off, Donkey Kong confronts the Mini Panda similar to aGōrumondo, though the Mini Panda is falling down the screen and must be punched once when it lines up with Donkey Kong's punch to defeat it. Defeating a Mini Panda gives eightbeats.
InNew Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, the Mini Panda is retextured to have fur in two similar shades of blue (replacing the black and white fur respectively), white fur around its mouth with black spots, blue bags under its eyes instead of red, and yellow claws.
