Malboros are vegetal enemies in theFinal Fantasy games that debuted inFinal Fantasy II. They appear inMario Hoops 3-on-3 on theMalboro Garden stage, one positioned behind both baskets. The Malboros in this game have a unique appearance from most other titles, with five huge orange eyes and a long mouth. In other games, Malboros usually have dozens of small eyes on stalks andtentacles, rather than the five large eyes and three tentacles in this game. When a player gets too close to one, it will use its signature attack, Bad Breath, a toxic purple gas that will knock any player who touches it down and make them slower.
