TheMailbag (alternatively known as theMail Bag)[1] is a key item inPaper Mario. It is used in theToad Town Post Office to storeletters delivered to Mario's partners. AfterMario rescuesSkolar,Shy Guys steal the mailbag from theToad Town Post Office. Since it was stolen, thepostmaster cannot give mail to anyone who receives it.

The Mailbag is located to the east of the Pink Station inShy Guy's Toy Box in atreasure chest.

Returning the Mailbag to thepostmaster at the counter of the Post Office rewards Mario aStar Piece and enables the player to read the once-stolen letters again.
