Magifoofas areMagikoopas withFawful-like grins, swirly glasses, and green robes that appear inBowser's Castle during the events of the gameMario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.Bowser can defeat this enemy by touching it in the overworld, butMario andLuigi can battle them.
In battle, they can use their magic to summon shapes above the Mario Bros., which will then solidify. The shapes formed are a triangle, a square, and a circle. The Bros. will have to jump over the triangle and square in order to prevent being damaged; however, the circle will bounce over Mario and Luigi's heads. If timed well, the triangle or square can be crushed by a jump counter-attack. Occasionally, the spell may turn into aBean similar to the ones theCrawfuls eat to heal, which is indicated by black smoke coming out of the Magifoofa's wand. The bros. will need to jump over this attack. It can also heal itself and its allies for 30 HP when in battle, similar toLove Bubbles andSoul Bubbles fromthe previous game.
InMario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, they have an additional attack where they create a ring of fire which the Bros. must jump through; this attack is identical to the one used by regular Magikoopas fromMario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Their shoes are now purple, and their hats are no longer especially pointed. They are also found in theBowser Jr.'s Journey mode as enemies, where they are ranged troopers that are weak againstBowser Jr.
