Luigi Kong is a form thatLuigi takes after being brainwashed byLakitu into being the main character at all costs through hisCloud's lightning, causing him to go afterMario, in chapter 4 ofSuper Mario-kunVolume 10. Initially, Luigi is just violent, but when turned into a monster, he becomes a giant gorilla-like Luigi, with large nostrils and a large fanged mouth resembling the snout ofKing Kong from theoriginal 1933 film.

After spending the previous chapters looking for him, Mario,Yoshi, andBowser-Wanda finally find Luigi inBalloon Bridge. Luigi is mysteriously violent against Mario, and when Lakitu comes out to explain why, he intensifies Luigi's violent tendencies, transforming him into Luigi Kong. Using his nostril, Luigi inhales Mario and then sneezes him out, humiliating him. Mario then tries to toss afireball at him, but Yoshi stops him, not wanting to hurt Luigi. Luigi Kong then chases the two, but Bowser-Wanda makes a traffic cone appear to stray Luigi Kong away.

While he is gone, the trio decides to go after Lakitu's Cloud to free Luigi. When he returns, Mario tosses Yoshi, with his mouth wide open, to make his brother fall inside it, keeping him occupied. When Lakitu's Cloud is destroyed, Luigi is turned to normal and joins their quest to removeWario'sbucket fromPrincess Peach's head.
