Luigeena is a tall, lanky Italian woman appearing inThe Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "Marianne & Luigeena." She and her sisterMarianne are very fond of one another, although they occasionally argue. Luigeena is unaware that her cousins,Mario andLuigi, think poorly of them. She shares her name withAunt Luigeena, who is either her aunt or mother. Her name is a play on the names "Luigi" and "Eugene."
History[edit]
InThe Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "Marianne and Luigeena", Luigeena, after hearing from her sister,Marianne thatLyle Alzado would be visitingMario Brothers Plumbing, decides to go there in order to court Lyle.
Arriving at Mario Bros. Plumbing, Marianne and Luigeena notice Mario and Luigi are not home, but Lyle Alzado is there. Approaching Lyle, Marianne and Luigeena instantly begins to flirt with him, unnerving him greatly. After making continued attempts to flirt with Lyle, Luigeena is eventually sent away to find Mario and Luigi by Marianne.
After some absence, Luigeena, along with Marianne, who had gone off to search for Luigeena, return to Mario Brothers Plumbing to tell Lyle that their date with him was off; the two had recently seenMel Gibson and had decided to follow him home. Luigeena and Marianne then leave, leaving a slightly disappointed Lyle behind.
