TheLottery Ticket, originally known as theLottery Pick, is an optional item inPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It can be bought to giveMario the chance to win rewards from theHappy Lucky Lottery. Each ticket contains a random four-digit code; if Mario's numbers match those on the board, he will winprizes depending on how many numbers match. The ticket can be bought fromLucky for tencoins. Subsequent tickets with different numbers cost 100 coins. Cheating the lottery (by altering the console’s internal clock) will force the player to buy another ticket for 500 coins to continue playing the lottery.
