| Paper Mario description | A fruit found in a desert oasis. Restores 1 HP and 2 FP. |
ALemon appears inPaper Mario as anitem. It can be obtained by going to theDry Dry Desert's oasis and hitting the western (left side) tree withMario's hammer. Leaving the oasis area and returning will allow the player to collect another lemon from the tree, and this may be done repeatedly. They restore oneHP and twoFP and may be cooked byTayce T. to make aTasty Tonic. Lemons are also good for making theLemon Candy, which is useful in bribing theAnti Guy inShy Guy's Toy Box. Lemons do not fetch many coins when sold and are largely only good for cooking.
The lemon may be used as a way to earn thePulse Stone which will grant Mario entry toDry Dry Ruins. If Mario gives a lemon toSheek, Sheek explains how to "meet" Moustafa, who owns the Pulse Stone, by purchasing items in a specific order inside theLittle Mouser's Shop inDry Dry Outpost. If the player already knows the order of items to purchase, however, the combination may be entered successfully without ever speaking to Sheek.
Lemons are mentioned inLumpy's diary inPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, where he states that the last revision of his foodstuff during his Dry Dry Desert expedition consists of Lemons and Limes.
