Ledge Hammers are giant black-and-orangehammers that serve as obstacles inSuper Mario Galaxy 2 and itsNintendo Switch port. They appear only in theClockwork Ruins Galaxy during the mission "The Ledge Hammer Trap"; six of them appear during the mission and block the player's path to theStar. Ledge Hammers can crushMario orLuigi under their weight, defeating him instantly. Ledge Hammers move incredibly quickly, but they can be slowed via theblue switch nearby.

"Ledge Hammer" is a portmanteau of "ledge" and "sledgehammer".
