Lava Dome (calledLava Land in the British English version) is the fifth floor inMario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. Volcanoes and a smoke-filled night sky can be seen in the background. The music tracks played on this floor are arrangements of theBowser's Castle theme fromSuper Mario Bros.; additionally, this floor bears a significant resemblance to worlds concerningBowser found in various otherSuper Mario games.
This floor features fire-based obstacles such aslava,Lava Fountains,Podoboos, andFire Bars.Spyguys are introduced on this floor, whileCircus Kongs,Crash Kongs, andCool Kongs return from previous floors. This floor also introducesWall Jump Bars,Fire Blocks, andlogs, which can be burned to access new areas.
Upon completingBoss Game 5, the Lava Dome construction kit is unlocked for theConstruction Zone. After being defeated in Boss Game 5, Donkey Kong flees toToadstool Castle.
