Lakithunder[1] is the boss ofWorld 7 inNew Super Mario Bros. He is a large black-shelledLakitu with stylized sunglasses and a black collar who rides a yellow-eyed dark cloud. Due to the dark-colored cloud and the distinctive lighting on his head, he is visually reminiscent to theThunder Cloud. He can swoop towards the player and also throwsSpinies like the other Lakitus, though theSpiny Eggs he drops bounce around erratically. He can even let thunderbolts loose from his cloud that strike directly below him. The player mustjump on Lakithunder's head three times when he swoops down low in order to defeat him.
At the start of the game,Peach's Castle is attacked by a similar gray storm cloud that strikes with lightning. Out of every enemy working for Bowser inNew Super Mario Bros., these two traits are exclusive to Lakithunder and the storm cloud, though it is not confirmed whether or not they are considered the same entity.
