WhenDonkey Kong andOdd Rock first reach Lagoon Layer, they come across a blocked reservoir, which they fix by destroying aVoid Stake protected by a nearbyCrockoid. In Sublayer 101, they must destroy concrete pillars blocking several water openings to fill the sublayer with water. After removing enough pillars, the bridge leading to Elder Court becomes accessible. After finding anAncient Record for Kong Elder, Donkey Kong and Odd Rock enter a concert, which reveals the latter to be a 13-year-oldPauline, who uses her singing to transform Donkey Kong into hisKong Bananza, which he uses to destroy a wall leading to the Void Stake blocking the way to Sublayer 102. There, they encounterVoid Company, consisting ofVoid Kong,Poppy Kong, andGrumpy Kong, who plan to go to thePlanet Core. Grumpy Kong sends outPeekabruiser to slow down Donkey Kong and Pauline from making progress.
