Kuchukas areenemies introduced inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. TheseKremlings hide in a purplebarrels filled with an unlimited supply ofbombs. Their barrel design resembles that ofKnockas,Krackas, andKlasps, and similarly to them, only parts of Kuchukas are ever shown, including their purple arms and eyelids, which match the color of their barrel. The "chuck" part of their name references the fact Kuchukas throw bombs continually.
History[edit]
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble![edit]
Kuchukas are enemies inDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They are encountered inPot Hole Panic only. Kuchukas behave differently from Knockas as they remain stationary inside a barrel without moving and continuously attempt to throwbombs at theKongs and theirAnimal Friends. They cannot be picked up or defeated. A Kuchuka also appears in aBonus Level of Pot Hole Panic, where it tries to prevent the Kongs andSquitter from collecting the green bananas. A photograph of a Kuchuka appears inDixie Kong's Photo Album, being classified as part of theKremling Kreeps.
Unused graphics suggest that, at one point, Kuchukas could be picked up and thrown.[1]
Donkey Kong Land III[edit]
Kuchukas are enemies inDonkey Kong Land III. They are encountered in more levels than in the previous game. A single Kuchuka appears at the very end ofStalagmite Frights, and they appear in most levels of theLost World: a bonus stage inWhiplash Dash,Kuchuka Karnage,Haunted Hollows, andGhoulish Grotto. Like in the previous game, Kuchukas cannot be defeated. InWestern releases, Kuchukas appear identically to Knockas, due to the limited color display, but inDonkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong, are a bright purple color.
