"Koopalings BGM",[1] also known as "Fortress Boss",[2] is a musical theme composed byKoji Kondo forSuper Mario World, where it plays during the boss battles against theKoopalings,Reznors, andBig Boo.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U[edit]
InSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U, aLatinflamenco-style arrangement of "Koopalings BGM", titled "Fortress Boss (Super Mario World)" and arranged by ACE (TOMOri Kudo / CHiCO), can play in theMushroom Kingdom U andSuper Mario Maker stages. This arrangement uses acoustic guitar, brass, and accordion as main instruments, and features an original vocal and extended melody in the second half of the theme. This arrangement returns inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, now formatted as "Fortress Boss - Super Mario World", where it can play in anySuper Smash Bros.-series andSuper Mario-series stage.
