History[edit]

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest /Donkey Kong Land 2[edit]

Klampons are enemies inDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest andDonkey Kong Land 2, behaving identically in both games. Klampons attack by repeatedly chomping their jaws while moving back and forth.Diddy andDixie cannot roll into a Klampon from the side because this injures them, but a Klampon can be defeated from ajump attack, having abarrel orcrate thrown at it, from anAnimal Friend, or from being rolled into from above. Klampons have a functional opposite,Spinies, which are protected from jumping attacks but are vulnerable to frontal attacks, and the enemies are encountered together inGhostly Grove andCastle Crush. In the cast roll, Klampons are classified as part of the "Kremling Kuthroats" enemy class.

Klampons have the same defeated voice clips asKlomps and several other Kremlings inDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest whereas in the remake, they have Klaptrap's voice clips.
