Thekart workshop is a location that appears inThe Super Mario Bros. Movie. It is located in theJungle Kingdom, and it is whereKongs construct and repairkarts. The workshop notably features multiple booths where karts can be chosen (in a similar fashion toMario Kart 7,Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, andMario Kart Tour) and built. The workshop also has an exit leading to thesecret passage.
In the film, afterMario wins the battle againstDonkey Kong in theGreat Ring of Kong,Cranky Kong suggests that, to arrive in theMushroom Kingdom beforeBowser andhis troops, they will need karts. He then takes Mario,Princess Peach, andToad down to the kart workshop and tells them to pick their karts. The three have done so and line up at the workshop's exit, along with Donkey Kong and theKong army. When the group exits the workshop, it is never seen in the film again.
