TheKamek Capsule first appears inMario Party 5, where it can be thrown to a space on the board or used on the player for tencoins. Whoever lands on a space containing the capsule makesKamek appear on his broomstick and use his magic to shuffle everyone's capsules. If the number of orbs is not divisible by 4, the player landing on the space will always receive one of the extra orbs. InMario Party 6 andMario Party 7, it is known as theKamek Orb. It costs ten coins at theOrb Shop. Opponents that land on a space containing theorb summon Kamek, who uses his magic to give control of one of theCharacter Spaces they placed on the board to the owner of that space (three inMario Party 7).

• Whenever someone lands on an opponent's Character Space that was set with a Kamek Orb inMario Party 6, Kamek will always incorrectly announce that he is giving all of that player's Character Spaces on the board to their opponent instead of just one.
• InMario Party 6, the description of the Kamek Orb, both in the instruction booklet and in the game, uses a male pronoun to describe the affected player.
