Joy is one of thevibes inSuper Princess Peach. The player can activate it forPrincess Peach by touching the orangeHeart Panel. It gives her the ability tofly in the air and reach highplatforms, but not in areas with wind. The Joy vibe creates a cyclone when the player does not hold thejump button, which can bypass obstacles like blocking clouds and huge water spouts, spin windmills, and defeat enemies. Joy causes the background music to become higher and faster while active.

Severalenemies throughout the game, such asRed Koopas,Red Paratroopas,Bob-ombs,Parabombs,Piranha Plants,Bloopers,Torpedo Teds,Fangs, andPtooies are affected by the Joy vibe. Joy is usable by the bossesHoo,Blizzaurus andBowser. A Glad Goomba also appears in the game's introductory cutscene, where they misuse theVibe Scepter after he and the other soldiers ofBowser's Minions steal it, unleashing its powers onto the other members of Bowser's Minions. Glad Goombas do not appear as an enemy in the final game, however, graphics for a scrapped enemy versionremain in the game's data.
