TheJournal Entries are items that appear inPaper Mario: Color Splash. They were written by thelegendary captain, and they explain how to get through the Lost Sea. TheViolet Passage captain tellsMario that the pages were missing when the legendary captain's journal was found on the ship. There are five in total, and they can be found on the Violet Passage captain's ship. Mario must find them for the Violet Passage captain and give them to him. Once Mario gives all of the entries to the Captain, the ship can set sail forFortune Island. The Journal Entries will always be collected in order.

Locations of the Journal Entries[edit]

• A Journal Entry appears behind a cloth on the wall, and it must be pulled out to be collected.
• A Journal Entry appears inside of atreasure chest, along with a member of theBlue Rescue Squad. The Treasure Chest must be colored to open.
• A Journal Entry appears found on a green crate.
• A Journal Entry appears found inside of a crate under the stairs.
• A Journal Entry appears inside of a closed desk. The desk must be hit with Mario's hammer to collect the entry.
