Mario Quiz Cards[edit]
In theMario Quiz Cards, Jerusalem is mentioned on the back of a card which asks players to identify what amenorah is. The card states how the menorah's eight candles symbolize the eight days ofHanukkah (spelled "Chanukah" in the blurb), which commemorates the re-dedication of theTemple of Jerusalem after theMaccabees recaptured it from theSyrian Greeks. According to legend, the Temple menorah's candles were miraculously able to burn for the full eight days of the re-dedication process despite the Jewish high priest only having enough oil for one.
