Intelligent Systems is a video game company and affiliate ofNintendo that was founded in 1986. The company is known for producing theFire Emblem series andWars series; assisting in the development ofSuper Smash Bros. Melee,Super Smash Bros. Brawl, andSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U; and helping Nintendo to debug its systems[2] and develop theNintendo 3DS's camera application.[3]

In theSuper Mario franchise, Intelligent Systems created thePaper Mario series and has assisted in developing theWarioWare series sinceWarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! In thecredits forMario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Intelligent Systems is listed under special thanks.
