Ice Snake Blocks are objects inNew Super Mario Bros. Wii. They are a type ofSnake Block appearing inWorld 3-
Castle and function identically to normal Snake Blocks, aside from being slippery. Throughout the entirety of thelevel, they move overbottomless pits. ThePenguin Suit, however, allows the player to move freely on the platform without slipping. Only two Ice Snake Blocks are found in the level: the first one that leads to themidway point, and the second one that leads toLemmy Koopa.
Ice Snake Blocks were alsooriginally going to reappear inNew Super Mario Bros. U, along with a large variant, but they were removed from the final game.
Ice Snake Blocks can be emulated inSuper Mario Maker 2 by placing a Snake Block in the nighttime snow course theme. Additionally, Fast Snake Blocks bear a resemblance to the Ice Snake Block.
Ice Snake Blocks appear during theNew Super Mario Bros. Wii arc ofSuper Mario-kun. In volume 41, Lemmy uses hisMagic Wand to create Ice Snake Blocks, which act like an actual snake and attempt to strangleMario. The monster is destroyed using aFire Flower.
