How To Draw Donkey Kong & Friends is a 1997 book written byMichael Teitelbaum and illustrated byLeif Peng. The book features a series of how-to-draw artwork based on the protagonists and antagonists of theDonkey Kong Country series. It starts with a foreword "written" byCranky Kong, who claims that he wrote it sinceDonkey Kong was too lazy. Some of the book's artwork is unique, with some (such as Cranky Kong andFunky Kong) using new poses and others (such asRambi the Rhino andExpresso the Ostrich) directly taking their poses from existing artwork.
A successor was released in 2000, also written by Michael Teitelbaum, titledHow to Draw Nintendo Heroes and Villains.
