Hollywood is a district ofLos Angeles,California onEarth, located in theUnited States of America. Countless movies and television shows are filmed either in or around Hollywood, making the city synonymous with the film industry. Highlights of Hollywood include theHollywood Sign, which consists of giant white letters spelling out the name of the city atop a nearby hill, and theHollywood Walk of Fame, a sidewalk where celebrities are honored.

Hollywood is mentioned inThe Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "Fortune Teller", where the second prize of theBig Time Celebrity Prize Sweepstake Giveaway is a tour of Hollywood withAnnette Funicello.
King Koopa's Kool Kartoons[edit]
In the show's intro,King Koopa,Ratso and hisKoopa Troopas are walking down Hollywood heading towards a television studio. When they arrive, a guard attempts to block the entrance but fails. They then proceed to take over the studio.
The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
Hollywood is featured inThe Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Dadzilla."Big Mouth andKootie Pie Koopa, fed up with the way thattheir father treats them at home, concludes that they had likely been adopted, and that their real father is a movie star living in Hollywood. The twoKoopalings travel to Hollywood on theDoomship via aWarp Pipe, but not without getting the attention ofMario and his friends.
In Hollywood, Big Mouth and Kootie Pie meet up with the giant robot,Madzilla, whom they presume is their "real" father. Using theirmagic wands, the Koopalings bring Madzilla to life, and fool him into thinking that he is their father. With Dadzilla wrapped around their fingers, Big Mouth and Kootie Pie are free to terrorize Hollywood.
Eventually, Mario and his friends scare Big Mouth and Kootie Pie out of Hollywood with their own robot,Madzilla's Mom. With the Koopas gone, Hollywood is safe from their tyranny.Princess Toadstool then invites Madzilla to live inGiant Land, as Hollywood is no place for a dinosaur like himself to live.
