Hinged devices[1] are pink-and-yellow stripedlifts that appear inNew Super Mario Bros. One end of a hinged device is fastened to a wall, and the other consists of a round platform. WhenMario (orLuigi) steps on the platform part, the device swivels around to bring him into the room on the other side of the wall. Only four hinged devices appear in the game, all of them inWorld 4-
