Hefty Goonies[1] areGoonies that appear inSuper Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remakeYoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Due to their large weight, however, Hefty Goonies can barely fly and instead of flying, they bounce. Either hitting it with anegg or slurping one and spitting it out will turn it into aBowling Goonie.
Despite Hefty Goonies not appearing inYoshi's Island DS,Moltz the Very Goonie acts as the boss ofWorld 5-4. He is the only Hefty Goonie in the game.
A Hefty Goonie appears onLakitu's stage inTetris Attack.
Hefty Goonies later reappear inYoshi's New Island, acting the same as inYoshi's Island.

- Shogakukan guide: 「太りすぎて飛べなくなったあほ一どり。タマゴを当てたり、食べて吐き出すと、羽が取れて転がってゆく。」[2] (A Goonie that became too fat to fly. When hit by an egg, or when eaten, the feathers are taken off and it will roll along.)
- Player's Guide:Too much bird feed and TV makes for one roly-poly Goonie. Even Yoshi can fly better than this guy.[1]

丸 まったあほーどり。はずむように移動 するものと、地箇 を転 がるものの2種類 がいる。はずんで移動 するタイプだけ、食 べて口 に含 むことができる。」[4] (A rolling Goonie that looks like a ball. Those that bounce to move, and those that roll on the ground consist of the two varieties. For the bounce movement type, it can fit in your mouth and be eaten.)
