Hefty Goombrats[1] are a large variety ofGoombrats that appear in 2D platform games of theSuper Mario series. When attacked, they generally split into two regular Goombrats.
History[edit]
Super Mario Run[edit]
InSuper Mario Run, Hefty Goombrats can only be encountered during select courses in theRemix 10 mode. Like their smaller counterparts, they simply walk on the ground and turn around when they encounter a margin. While they do not actively try to attackMario, Hefty Goombrats can still hurt him if touched from the sides. Hefty Goombrats split into two regular Goombrats upon being stomped on, similarly to howHefty Goombas divide into twoGoombas in theNew Super Mario Bros. games. As seen in theWorld 5-1 Special Remix Course, Hefty Goombrats also split if knocked with a? Block from below. They can be defeated instantly by running into them whileinvincible.
Super Mario Maker 2[edit]
Hefty Goombrats can be created inSuper Mario Maker 2 by adding aSuper Mushroom to a regular Goombrat in theSuper Mario Bros.,Super Mario Bros. 3, andNew Super Mario Bros. U styles. They act the same as inSuper Mario Run, and can also be given wings, parachutes, stacked onto other enemies, put intoKoopa Clown Cars,Warp Pipes, etc. In addition, aGoombud variant of these enemies can be created only in theSuper Mario World style.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder[edit]
Hefty Goombrats reappear inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, where some float down on dandelion seeds as parachutes. They only appear inBloomps of the Desert Skies.
