TheHammer Bro Orb, also namedHammer Bro Capsule, is anorb in theMario Party series that debuts inMario Party 5. Characters who land on the space of the Hammer Bro Orb lose coins.Mario Party 6 repurposes theSpiny Orb to replace the Hammer Bro Capsule, butMario Party 7 brings back the Hammer Bro Orb using the Spiny Orb's effect and gives the Spiny Orb a new effect.

Mario Party 5[edit]
The Hammer Bro Capsule can be thrown onto a space on the board. Whoever lands on a space holding the Hammer Bro Capsule makes aHammer Bro appear and throw twohammers at them, making them lose tencoins. In Story Mode, Hammer Bro steals five coins instead. The player can also use the Hammer Bro Capsule on themselves, costing five coins, but still causing Hammer Bro. to take away their coins. Therefore, the total cost the player must pay is fifteen coins in Party Mode or ten coins in Story Mode. Players may want to do this action in certain scenarios, such as they anticipate exchanging coins from aGoomba Capsule or, if they are low on coins, they can self-activate the Hammer Bro. Orb effect and land on aBowser Space to receive 10 coins back.
Mario Party 7[edit]
InMario Party 7, this item is renamed the Hammer Bro Orb. Opponents that land on a space containing the orb lose ten coins to the Hammer Bro, like the Spiny Orb inMario Party 6. Unlike the Hammer Bro Capsule inMario Party 5, but just like the Spiny Orb inMario Party 6, the coins are given to the player that placed the Orb.
Mario Party 7 follows fromMario Party 6 in preventing characters from using Orbs with negative effects on themselves and preventing the character that throws an Orb from being affected by the space the Orb makes, so the Hammer Bro Orb cannot affect the user.
