Ground Pound is a 1-Playerminigame inMario Party.
Overview[edit]
The player observes thepegs before thebutterflies cover the top of them,[1] but some are not covered completely. In gameplay, the player tries tohip-drop every peg with a flat top, but if they do so on one with a pointed top, it stuns them briefly.
The minigame costs 50Coins to buy at theMini-Game House.

Notes[edit]
- The minigame descriptions inMario Party andMario Party 2 use the phrase "Hip Drop" despite the minigame title, whereas the move would not be called "Ground Pound" untilMario Party 3 onward.
- When the minigame is played by a CPU character of any difficulty, they always hip-drop an incorrect peg for every correct one.[citation needed]
