- “Oh, wow! The grand prize! Congratulations! And the grand prize you'll be enjoying is...aGolden Pipe!”
- —Toad,Super Mario Party Jamboree
TheGolden Pipe is a normal item that appears inSuper Mario Party, functioning similarly to theGenie Lamp,Flutter Orb, andStar Pipe from previousMario Party games. It places the player onespace away from theStar, which means players can buy it afterwards unless they roll a 0.
The item returns inMario Party Superstars andSuper Mario Party Jamboree, where it replaces the Genie Lamp from the original games. It can be bought for 25coins. As it is not possible to roll a 0, the pipe effectively guarantees the player will reach the Star on the same turn, although they still have to pay for the Star as usual.Toadette will also act shocked as the player warps. InJamboree, the pipe reappears from the top rather than on the ground when the player warps. InRainbow Galleria, the grand prize of the raffle is a Golden Pipe. The Golden Pipe is unavailable inMario's Rainbow Castle due to it being possible forImpostor Bowser to take the Star's place.
