Glamdozer is a squat, dinosaur-like boss inSuper Mario Galaxy 2. She[1] is fought in theFlipsville Galaxy mission "Flip-Flopping in Flipsville," which also includes smallerPupdozer enemies she is implied to rule over. She is initially encountered sleeping on a disc-shaped planetoid, and she stirs only afterMario (orLuigi)ground-pounds her vulnerable belly.

Appearance[edit]

Glamdozer

Glamdozer is a large, heavyset Pupdozer with pink skin over the top half of her body and a yellow underbelly. Glamdozer wears a crown similar toRosalina's and has effeminate eyelashes, puffy cheeks, pink lips, purple claws, and green eyes lined with blue eyeshadow. When she gets angry, her face turns red while her eyes turn yellow and lack pupils.

Battle[edit]

To defeat Glamdozer, the player must flip to the underside of the boss area and slam her with a Ground Pound through the centralgrate while she is sleeping. Doing so gets her attention. Then, the player must return to the underside of the platform and try to hit her again. If Glamdozer is not standing over a grate, the player must stand on the nearest grate and wait until she charges toward it. After being hit a second time, she can also fire large flaming orbs that can get caught in the grates, making it impossible for the player to flip them. Glamdozer can also chase the player to the other side of the arena as well. After being hit a third time, Glamdozer gets angry and has faster attacks and more awareness. Hitting her one more time defeats her, after which aPower Star appears.

Naming[edit]

Etymology[edit]

The name "Glamdozer" is a play on "glamour," in reference to her stylish appearance and visible makeup, and "Pupdozer." Glamdozer andKing Lakitu are the only bosses inSuper Mario Galaxy 2 whose names are not mentioned in the titles of their respectivemissions in any localizations of the game. However, she is explicitly mentioned by theBlue Toad during the mission in the English, Canadian French, Latin American Spanish, and Portuguese versions of the game. He does not refer to her by name in all other localizations.
