Giant Donkey Kong (also shortened toGiant DK) is a form ofDonkey Kong introduced in theGame Boy version ofDonkey Kong. Similarly to aSuper form, it is an increase in size often triggered bySuper Mushrooms. Giant Donkey Kong commonly appears as aboss.

Giant Donkey Kong is the final boss inDonkey Kong. He is fought inStage 9-9 after DK assumes the form using several Super Mushrooms. While his full body cannot be seen, he appears to be slightly taller than theTower. Giant Donkey Kong's primary attack is slamming the tower, causingbarrels andbarbells to fall from overhead. He can only be damaged byMario intercepting the barrels by kicking them from ahandstand, and then throwing them at him. However, the same attack that drops the barrels also destroys any that have not been thrown. As the fight continues, Donkey Kong begins to slam his fists together to try to crush Mario, and to perform a one-handed slam causing barbells to fall. It takes three barrels to defeat Giant Donkey Kong.

Super Smash Bros.[edit]
Giant DK is a minor boss in stage 6 of1P Game. He fights identically to DK, though differences include his increased size, moreresistance toknockback, and increased launch power of his attacks. He is fought onCongo Jungle, and the player has twoCPU teammates to help them during this.
Super Smash Bros. Melee[edit]
Starting fromSuper Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mushrooms can appear in a match and can make any character, including DK, giant. Throughout the series, permanently-giant forms of other characters appear in various single-player modes, with the effects being the same as a Super Mushroom.
Giant Donkey Kong appears in the second half of stage 2 of theAdventure Mode, fought onJungle Japes. He is also the player character ofEvent 2: Lord of the Jungle. A particularly large Donkey Kong, about twice the size of even the Super Mushroom, appears inEvent 25: Gargantuans.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]
The only appearance of Giant Donkey Kong outside the Super Mushroom item inSuper Smash Bros. Brawl are four events:The Monster Beneath the Earth,Monkeys Unite,Three-Beast Carnage, andCo-Op Event 14: The Dark Guardians.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
Giant Donkey Kong is the boss ofJigglypuff'sClassic Mode route inSuper Smash Bros. This inclusion is a reference to the originalSuper Smash Bros., which the route is themed around.
