Ghost Riders^[1] are ghost-like creatures thatYoshis can ride inYoshi's Story. Ghost Riders appear only in theGhost Castle. They appear in the room with the thirdMiss Warp in saidlevel. They act as platforms that the Yoshis can step on. They are found alongside someBlock Boos, allowing the Yoshis to climb the room and crossspikes and other obstacles. They are found in great numbers and roam the area from left to right or from right to left, going through walls and obstacles. Ghost Riders are similar in appearance to theGusty of theprevious game.

The English name for Ghost Riders is likely based off of the American comic book characterGhost Rider, or the profession ofghostwriter, as a pun based on how theBaby Yoshis can ride them.
