Battle Course 1 is the first battle course ofMario Kart: Super Circuit. It uses the background fromMario Circuit. The course later reappears inMario Kart 7 andMario Kart Tour as a retro battle course.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit[edit]
Battle Course 1 is a square-shaped course with a layout very similar to that ofBattle Course 4, but smaller. It features several paths separated by walls of four different colors, one in each corner of the map. There are also multicolored walls surrounding the entire track. It has an open space in the middle, including a square sandy area which can slow down players.
Mario Kart 7[edit]

InMario Kart 7, the course has received updated graphics.Rocky Wrenches have been added to the course and a small ramp at the center where the sand is. Also, instead of its original background, it has the same background asSNES Mario Circuit 2. In this version, the course uses theMario Kart Wii arrangement of the Battle Course music featured inGBA Battle Course 3.
Mario Kart Tour[edit]
Battle Course 1 reappears inMario Kart Tour starting from theBattle Tour. It mostly uses its appearance inMario Kart 7. There is now alift on the side of the course for eliminated players, andGoal Poles appear at each corner. The Rocky Wrenches have been removed from the course. The ramp in the middle has been replaced with a cross path through the offroad, similar toSNES Battle Course 1 inMario Kart 8 Deluxe. The minimap was rotated by 180 degrees, the outer walls became color-coded, and the red and blue guardrails swapped colors. Instead of using theMario Kart Wii arrangement ofGBA Battle Course 3, the course now usesSNES Battle Course 1's music fromMario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, its original song is still present in thefiles ofTour. Battle Course 1 andGCN Cookie Land are the first battle stages to be implemented intoMario Kart Tour.
