Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze levels

Frantic Fields is the third level ofBright Savannah inDonkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switchport of the same name. The level is set in the middle of a storm, and features tornadoes as obstacles.Rambi also appears in this level.

InTime Attack mode, a time of 1:50.00 is required to get a gold medal, a time of 2:00.00 for silver, and a time of 2:21.00 for bronze.

Overview[edit]

At the start of the stage, there are platforms that tilt in the direction of the storm's wind, over a bed of spikes. Past that, the Kongs will find the first of thetornadoes. Under the second tornado,Donkey Kong can flip a panel to find aDD Barrel. The Kongs will later find the firstRambiCrate. While riding Rambi, he can run over the spikes to destroy them, but is not impervious to the tornadoes.

Past another bed of spikes, the Kongs will find platforms levitated by tornadoes over a pit, and bolts of lightning that can cause the Kongs to fall off Rambi if they are hit by one. After the first checkpoint,Tucks andPorcupals will fly towards the camera from the background. The Kongs will then enter a strong wind blowing to the left, with more enemies being carried by the wind's force. At the end of the path, there is a small bridge that will collapse once the Kongs or Rambi steps on it, and aBarrel Cannon.

After getting launched from the cannon, the Kongs will be chased by a large cyclone and multiple lightning strikes. The Kongs must run past collapsing bridges and lightning to reach the Barrel Cannon on the other side, which launches them inside another cyclone. Here, the Kongs will have to jump across multiple platforms that are also caught by the cyclone. About halfway through, there is a DX Barrel. In the final area, the Kongs will find themselves on a bridge, but it will soon be struck by lightning and collapse, forcing the Kongs to jump to the next platform as lowers down to them, which puts them within reach of theSlot Machine Barrel.
