AForkie (originally singularized asForkies) is a fork-wielding enemy that is encountered inSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.Mario and company first encounter this creature inBowser's Keep. A Forkie is round and gray and has an orange ponytail sticking out of its head. Forkies appear in battle usually alongsideStar Crusters andGrand Troopas. In battle, Forkies have high magic stats and above-average physical stats. They have one special attack calledStorm, which can do a high amount of damage. When a Forkie uses a special attack, a smaller Forkie in the bigger Forkie's mouth can be seen in the animation. They have a weaker relative calledJawful, which Mario meets earlier in the game.

A Forkie does not attack the party until it is attacked. The game declares that "The Forkies are enraptured!" (original) / "The Forkie is enraptured!" (remake). When the creature is attacked, it says "The Forkies have come to their senses." (original) / "The Forkie has come to its senses." (remake).
