Flying Gold Blocks[1] are a winged variant ofGold Block that appears inNew Super Mario Bros. 2. When hit, they act in the same way as Gold Blocks. Flying Gold Blocks appear for every 200,000points earned and fly aboveMario orLuigi on theworld map, and they can be used right away upon him entering alevel, similar to the redFlying ? Blocks in the firstNew Super Mario Bros. When the score reaches the maximum of 999,999,999 points, Flying Gold Blocks always appear no matter how many points Mario or Luigi earns.
