AFlower Road is a floral walking path appearing inSuper Mario Odyssey. It can only be activated by pressing certainP Switches near ledges, and slowly form a path for Mario to follow. After a while, the road will slowly de-materialize from its starting point; and when Flower Road is near the end of its path it will automatically form again at the start of its path. Flower Roads can be passed through from below. It is possible for a Flower Road to move directly upward, allowing Mario toWall Jump off it. Several Flower Roads are found in the game, the vast majority of which are found in theWooded Kingdom, though some are seen in a bonus area in theSnow Kingdom and two also appear in theDarker Side.
In the Wooded Kingdom, the first group of Flower Roads appears after Mario obtains the "Road to Sky Garden"Power Moon and transports Mario between theIron Road: Halfway Point and theSky Garden Tower; they also allow Mario to collect the "Nut Planted in the Tower" Power Moon if Mario breaks the nut along the path inside the Sky Garden Tower. There are some additional Flower Roads in thetitular bonus area which allow Mario to collect the "Flower Road Run" and "Flower Road Reach" Power Moons, as well as on the backside of theSecret Flower Field, which allow Mario to collect the "Swing Around Secret Flower Field" Power Moon.
In the Snow Kingdom, an bonus area accessed only through aMoon Pipe is based on traversing Flower Roads withoutCappy. This area hasBanzai Bills andMoonsnakes, and contains the "Running the Flower Road" and "Looking Back on the Flower Road" Power Moons.
In the Darker Side, Mario uses a Flower Road to traverse through an area withRock Blocks andPulse Beams. An optional detour reconnects to the main path with a second Flower Road.
