First Letter World is a location inMario's Early Years! Fun with Letters. It is one of the ten (seven on SNES) islands in the game and is represented by a giant movie screen with a picture of a bug with the word "BUG" below it.
In this world, the player has to select the words that start with the first letter indicated. Three start with the indicated letter, and the last one does not. After the player selects the three words that start with the given letter, they move on to the next room via apipe.
The world itself is a movie theater, consisting of three areas that the player plays through. The first area is the outside of the theater with a marquee in the background. The second area is the waiting line, which has four poster-like pictures in the background which contain the choices. The final area is the theater room itself, with trashcans in the foreground; the player exits through a blue pipe in this room.
