Fire Spikes[1] are red variants ofSpikes introduced inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder. Rather than tossingSpike Balls that bounce or roll on the ground, these Spikes pull out and hurl fireballs that fly fast in a straight line, just like how Spikes originally threw their projectiles inSuper Mario Bros. 3. Four of these enemies appear inWavy Ride through the Magma Tube, which has aWonder Effect featuring a giant Fire Spike statue in the background that attacks the player by spitting outvolcanic debris (and eventually, the level'sWonder Seed), while nine more are encountered in the fourth and final section ofKO Arena Magma Flare-Up.
