Fire Power^[1] isYoshi'sPower Flower power-up inSuper Mario 64 DS. Getting a Power Flower or eating fire allows Yoshi tobreathe fire, though only the former lets him do so as much as he wants for a brief time.

The power-up itself has the most use in ice courses such asCool, Cool Mountain andSnowman's Land, due to its ability to melt blocks ofIce. It can also defeat any enemy on contact, making it very useful when there are enemies in Yoshi's way.

Yoshi's fire breath is required to complete two missions: "Frosty Slide for 8 Red Coins" and "Yoshi's Ice Sculpture," since the other player characters—Mario,Luigi, andWario—cannot break blocks of Ice.
