Festive trees are course elements inMario Kart Tour. They are exclusively featured in tours that lead up to or occur around the holiday season. Festive trees are planted insidepipes and are decorated with red ribbons, lights, tinsels of various colors and aSuper Star–like crown on top. When a driver gets near a festive tree, they can hear sleigh bells. Festive trees give bonus points when hit with an offensive item (such as any type of shell, aBanana or aBob-omb) or when driven into whileinvincible orMega, with the action being displayed as "Happy Holidays!" Starting with the 2020Winter Tour, they also give drivers anevent token when hit.
Festive trees have appeared in the following tours:
- Winter Tour (2019)
- London Tour
- Holiday Tour (2019), first week only
- Winter Tour (2020)
- Rosalina Tour
- Holiday Tour (2021)

Notes[edit]
- Merry Mountain,DS Airship Fortress, all threeVancouver Velocity routes,RMX Rainbow Road 2, andWii DK Summit are the only courses in the game that were featured in at least one tour with festive trees but did not have any on the course.
- In Merry Mountain's case, this is due to it already having a Christmas theme.
