Ethering,Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Ethering is aSpark that appears inMario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is located in theDarkmess Puddle battleWolf at the Door. After the battle, Ethering joins the heroes on their adventure.

In battle, Ethering's ability isUnseen, which makes a Heroinvisible for a single turn.[1][2] While a Hero is invisible, enemies cannot directly attack them, but the Hero can still take damage by other means and be affected by Super Effects.[1] The ability's duration and cooldown can be upgraded by feedingStar Bits to Ethering. Its passive ability isAthlete, which increases the damage inflicted by move abilities. The passive ability can also be upgraded.[1]

Ethering is a somewhat tall, light-blue ghost-like Spark with a blue, fiery aura surrounding it. It also has red eyes (thus being the only Spark to have eyes of this color) and a blue tongue that always sticks out of its mouth. Its voice sounds very similar to that of aBoo, as it is almost entirely composed of evil-sounding laughing.

Ethering appears in the cinematic launch trailer for the game, where it makesRabbid Rosalina invisible, confusing a few enemies when they see herKaboomer floating in mid-air before she shoots them with it.[3]
