Ellow is one of the four members ofIDLE, appearing inMario & Luigi: Brothership. He is a young, yellow, rotund Concordian humanoid who wears an orange, sleeveless shirt and a belt with a spiral in the center on his waist. His eyes resemble aType G plug. Ellow also wears a yellow-orange scarf as a sack, which is tied underneath his head. He lives onDesolatt Island with the rest of the IDLE members. In the sidequestBack to IDLE's Roots,Ireen's mom explains via flashback thatIreen fought the IDLE members one-on-one (including Ellow) to get them to join her, forming IDLE.
Ellow and the rest of IDLE first meetMario andLuigi on Desolatt Island, whereIreen challenges the brothers to find the group in a game of hide-and-seek. Ellow hides in the yellow building southwest, however, he gets stuck in the doorway, requiring Luigi to push him out from the inside of the building. Once Desolatt Island is linked, he and the rest of IDLE join Mario and Luigi on their adventure onShipshape Island.
During the exploration ofLottacoins Island, Ellow gets captured by theExtension Corps and is held captive on the top floor of theDuplex Towers. However, while they are distracted, he walks away and reunites with the rest of IDLE. Mario and Luigi defeat theMega Snaptor and link Lottacoins Island afterwards.
