Elite X-Nauts are high-ranking soldierX-Nauts and the strongest X-Nauts inPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Unlike theX-Naut or thePhD, this type of X-Naut wears a red-and-black uniform with a white X to signify its rank. They are fought in theX-Naut Fortress on themoon. The Elite X-Naut is much tougher in battle than a standard X-Naut, but otherwise uses the same attacks. Two Elite X-Nauts are required to battle as soon asMario enters the fortress, and one appears in the shower room on Sublevel 4 wherePrincess Peach was held. In the original version, it is an optional roaming field enemy, and in the remake, it is a required battle to obtain aSecurity Key.

After the adventure is over, it is revealed that a few Elite X-Nauts survived, where they presently accompany Crump,Grodus's head and some other X-Nauts inPoshley Heights.

	Tattle	That's an Elite X-Naut. This guy is the creme de la creme of the X-Nauts. Max HP is 10, Attack is 5, and Defense is 1. He'll use regular attacks as well as boosting his power or size. Elite X-Nauts are tough, but you just have to smack away until they go down.
