“The gunk in the ocean is caused by... A giant eel! It's moved into our ancestral home... ...at the sea floor, and it's nursing some nasty cavities there.”
Noki elder,Super Mario Sunshine

Eely-Mouth is a boss inSuper Mario Sunshine. It is an eel withgingivitis who resides in theNokis' ancestral home deep belowNoki Bay, causing widespread pollution on the surface.Mario first learns that Eely-Mouth is causing the pollution at the start of the episode "Eely-Mouth's Dentist." Mario is asked to remedy this by cleaning Eely-Mouth's teeth.

When Mario gets near Eely-Mouth, it spins around very fast before rising upward and opening its mouth. During this time, Mario has a chance to clean Eely-Mouth's teeth. Seconds later, Eely-Mouthsucks in water, as well as Mario if he is too close. Eely-Mouth then spits Mario out after sucking him in. Eely-Mouth's eyes emit damaging purplebubbles, though they can still refill Mario's air supply. If Mario sprays these bubbles with water fromFLUDD, they pop into a cluster of smaller regular bubbles that do not harm Mario and replenish his air supply. Similarly, teeth that get dislodged from Eely-Mouth also refill Mario's air supply. Once all of Eely-Mouth's teeth have been cleaned, it spits out its golden tooth, which turns into aShine Sprite. When Eely-Mouth returns into its cave, 20coins in the shape of a heart appear. When Eely-Mouth retreats, FLUDD comments, "Remember to take proper care of your teeth!"

"Eely-mouth" is one of the names on the scoreboard inMario Golf: Toadstool Tour andMario Golf: Advance Tour.
