Notes[edit]
- InSuper Mario Sunshine, there is a soccer ball object in thetest level "test11" that acts similarly to the Durian and comes with a cardboard box to serve as a goal. It was most likely used for testing their functionality, specifically when Mario kicks it into aPianta'sbasket.
- InPianta Village's tree that grows all of the kinds of the fruit in the game, knocking down the durian and going towards it at a specific angle causes Mario to be stuck in a loop of him kicking it at the tree, which reflects it back. It creates a large cloud of particle effects.[3] The same can happen by knocking it down and jumping on it due to the tree's low branches.

- ^October 31, 2020.In Super Mario Sunshine, Pianta Village contains a tree that grows all five of the game’s different types of fruit. If the durian is taken down from the tree and brought close to its trunk, approaching the durian from a specific angle will result in Mario becoming stuck in a loop of kicking it and the trunk reflecting it back. This causes a large cloud of particle effects to be created, as seen in the footage..Supper Mario Broth (English). Retrieved May 25, 2024.
